This Past Weak End
No need to think that it's mispelled
The title reads just fine and well
I wish I could change what seems to be
The end to this great fantasy
Love needs to keep real close these days
Our setback seems too far away
Is what is shared by one + one
Two hearts watching a setting Sun
This past weak end seems like it left
A hole in heart which broke a sweat
Feeling forgotten if for a day
Today forever seems that way
Maybe it's best that we don't go
Down that road and maybe so
We'll still be close until one day
We can both change our yesterdays
I hope you're well, I wish I could
Say the same as we withstood
A test and failed to compromise
What my heart cries deep inside
This past weak end, came and went
As did the thoughts inside my head
Of you who swept us off our feet
Today our loss and my defeat
