FIFTY-THREE NOW

Another moment older now
All I want somehow
Is to lay my head
Upon his lap
Take a quiet restful nap
Awaken quietly to serve him
Go about my day with the fun
It is truth
Or only pleasure
That his words I so treasure
Here in my mind constantly
Wondering if reality
Will really be
Or just a hoax
That I do coax
His body to mine
Where in our time
We grow to be
Him and me
It's my life course
To get a divorce
From a man
Not here
To marry some one dear
Who perhaps only wants play
And that too is okay
It is enough
Because life's tough
And you won't get out alive
So jive
With some kind man
While you're here
Take his soul and
Hold it dear
Look into his eyes of grace
Take your hands to his face
And love him
Put only God above him
That's what I want to do
On this birthday
I miss having all of you.
