A Mother's Job
Oh! The many worries of a Mother,
when does it ever end?
When the child learns it is God
on who he must depend.
You see, a Mother must have wisdom,
of when to help or not,
for each child has to face life
and walk in his own lot.
The hardest thing a Mother will do
is look the other way,
And believe in her heart that
all she has to do is pray.
For a Mother's job is to teach
her child how to become a man,
so that when she's up in heaven
on his own two feet he'll stand.
So I ask you God to make me strong
and teach me to say no,
help me to surrender my child
and completely let them go!
