ODE TO PEDRO
Ode to PEDRO
I think you was right when you said,
Its not carved in stone ,that's all in our head.
I still play the tunes from all those years before,
In Sadie's house cross legged on the floor.
Since you have gone it's a duller place,
We all miss the smile upon your face,
Miss the quite one who made us laugh,
Uggy says you was “ one of the lads“.
But you left me with a guiding hand,
Joni Mitchell, and of course the band;
Then no one could prise you from your room,
A mist fell down. And then the gloom.
You worked so hard and played so fast,
Chose your path, then the dye was cast,
I think you was right when you said,
