TABBY

SHE'S A LITTLE YELLOW TABBY CAT,
AS SWEET AS SHE CAN BE,
SHE NEVER GETS IN TROUBLE.
WE GOT HER AT THE HUMANE SOCIETY.

WE ALMOST TOOK AN OLDER CAT
BECAUSE THEY'RE HARDER TO PLACE
BUT SHE DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE AT ALL
AND PERFERED TO WASH HER FACE.

THE WEE ONE WAS EXCITED
AND FRIENDLY AS COULD BE,
SHE CRAWLED UP THE FRONT OF HER CAGE
AND KEPT REACHING OUT TO ME.

SHE GOT A HOME RIGHT THEN AND THERE,
I COULDN'T WALK AWAY,
SHE SEEMED TO KNOW THAT SHE WOULD GO
WITH US THAT VERY DAY,

SHE'S BEEN WITH US FOR EIGHT YEARS NOW,
I'VE NEVER FELT REGRET,
I HOPE SHE LIVES A LONG,LONG TIME,
SHE'S BEEN A WONDERFUL PET.
