all I had to do was listen
which I did
listened to the world passing by
thinking as little as possible
until the lights went out
some people don't think so they don't get upset
others think they know certain things
- until another thought comes into mind
and so they end up trading thoughts for ideas
which is what I did most of the time anyway
I think maybe I lost a lot of things back then
I've known this for a long time of course
and for that time I've been waiting
waiting to see my shooting star
until the day that I finally go mad
someone once told me
that we hold destiny in our hands
I hope that that's true
because as foolish at it may sound
I think that destiny is very important right now
so at times it seems that life has offered very little
and I seem destined to always end up at the beginning
only I know a little more now
and even if there is no answer as such
life is not so bad I guess
I think that we're lucky
