imagine you can see yourself
in between the north and south
watch the light of day move west
rises twice before it sets
on thoughts that were once left to chance
resolved by pure circumstance
somewhere somehow in the world
there's a man for every girl
and chances are if you think of them
you could have most anything
that will satisfy your restless mind
leaving one less thought to leave behind
it's that feeling when you close your eyes
and float through rainbow lamp lit skies
you hold on because you can't let go
for fear of waking the world below
where few things ever made much sense
and fate was more coincidence
to lose everything would never be too late
it's all a case of how you compensate
the life you had for the the one you'd choose
a different suit or pair of shoes
don't make the person that other people see
it's what's inside that counts really
if you reached out now and touched the moon
for many it would be too soon
but no matter what anyone else might say
you can always try another day
because what've you really got to lose -
the life you have or the one you'd choose?
