Awaiting Thy Grace

Here on the precipice of the night's end
stand I in wonder and in silence wait
a miracle to come, my life to mend
to seal far better an uncertain fate
Daylight comes brighter from worry unshroud
to smile with a blessing before me placed
To give praise in glory with my head bowed
repeat I pray syncopatedly paced
And as shadows lift from the edge of night
as in a cool mist the day dawns again
I hope and I pray not giving up fight
onward to echo my every Amen
And from day to night I pray to thee, Lord
awaiting thy grace upon me out-poured
