Awake in Dreams
So what if she in me still dwells
The past present in heart still swells
A wave in ocean inside a heart
That sometimes dreams we're not apart
Awake we are and know quite well
This magic is a short lived spell
Yet here we are again spending
A stolen moment with rules I'm bending
Though short lived this episode
God placed this thought in me I've sowed
Feelings for her that cannot be
Love for now in fantasy
I won't complain she still feels good
To have and hold what has withstood
The test of time where once upon
A princess her was mine now gone
I look at her through different eyes
Today in me she still abides
Where no one can but only her
Awake from sleep with love once stirred
Confess we have to GOD who knows
That's just the way things have to go
Today we'll breathe where all feels right
Awake in dreams, asleep this night
With hope she'll come, maybe tonight
To read a write upon our site
Knowing quite well we understand
That dreams are dreams inside this man
