Fluffy Bunnies
Reaching into my heart and grabbing my attention,
Hopping across the yard nibbling on the green grass.
The cat looking out the window twitching with anticipation;
As I see a momma rabbit and two fluffy bunnies.
Watching the peaceful grazing from my patio siding door,
The beauty of these creatures mesmerize me.
I cannot resist just smiling and watching for as long as I can;
As I see a momma rabbit and two fluffy bunnies.
Three small sparrows land nearby pecking at the ground;
Natures grand show is unfolding before my very eyes.
A woodpecker hammers away at the dead tree trunk;
As I watch a momma rabbit and two fluffy bunnies.
A gentle respect for this scene comes to me as I stand;
The separateness between me and all that exists falls away.
I feel connected to all creation, if only for a moment,
As I watch a momma rabbit and two fluffy bunnies
