Poetic Verses
Mindless Souls
They tend somewhat toward deafness
To words they ought to hear
And act as if they cannot see
When things are crystal clear.
They find it hard to take a stand
When principles are in play
Which makes it such an easy task
To simply walk away.
They live much like an ostrich
Whose head is in the sand
Afraid to face reality
Claiming not to understand.
That's how it is with mindless souls
Who seem a bit naive
And since they can't think on their own
Themselves they would deceive.
In that, there is no honor
To have such state of mind
That they would tend toward being deaf
While pretending to be blind.
To words they ought to hear
And act as if they cannot see
When things are crystal clear.
They find it hard to take a stand
When principles are in play
Which makes it such an easy task
To simply walk away.
