 The Sun's Warmth

The long winter of cold sun rays has come to a merciful end,
As spring is here in its full cloak of glory.
I look up on a cloudless day with a slight cool breeze;
On my face is the sun's warmth.
I could stand in its radiance all day,
Absorbing the heat my body has craved all winter;
Warm sun touching my body.
Springing back to life are the plants and flowers;
Beauty leaps into my mind.
Creative is the force
Of the sun's warmth.
The power of the god of the day,
Animating this dormant world back to life.
I lie on the bleachers drinking in the sun,
Hungry for a big gulp of its grandeur.
Peace in my body,
Light in my heart,
Joy in my soul,
Dancing in the sunlight
Of the sun's warmth.
Kneeling at the alter of the sun,
God touches me with His love.
Disguised as the sun's warmth,
I feel it in every organ of my body;
Every cell, every atom, I am loved.
Peace in my body,
Light in my heart,
Joy in my soul,
Dancing in the sunlight
Of the sun's warmth.
I am squinting looking up into the brightness;
The sun's warmth embraces me with God's love.
