The Eleventh Commandment states
Thou shalt not get caught:
One of the very first things
Any joskin is taught.

I stood wearily blinking in the early morning light
Trying to emerge from a long booze soaked night.
Apart from the hangover every bone ached as well
From trying to gonk on the wooden bench in the cell.
I shook hands with Heinz before we parted at the door.
In the cold light of day he bore no grudges any more,
But I could understand why he went and blew his mind
Catching me stroking his new wife's ample behind.
I'd tried to explain my mistake but the time wasn't right;
All Heinz had wanted was to get me into a fight.

I'd started to the door to leg it after my mates
But I left my escape just a split second too late.
The Politzei just laughed as they drove us to town
And threw us both into cells for us to cool down.
I sipped a black coffee as I had a while to wait
For the Sunday morning bus past the camp gate.
To be honest my mind wasn't there I have to confess
But on the ribbing I would get back in the Corporals Mess.
It was lunch time when I arrived and stepped slowly inside
Trying hard to grin as I waited for the barracking to subside.

One of the very first things
Any joskin is taught:
The Eleventh Commandment states
Thou shalt not get caught.
