Life's Showers

No more crying for lost loves the summer is falling
the once crimson skies now heavy with rain
gone are the moments that once I could bathe in…
left are the showers that drench me each day.
Lost loves and true loves they all seem so distant
soft hands and warms lips… just memories so sweet
then sometimes a fragrance reminds me of someone…
as the summer light of crimson retreats to the sea.
Knowing regret are the thoughts I am left with
though I regret not one day that I have been thankful to live
I have seen and have known so much that is beautiful
whatever the cost to me… it was a pleasure to give.
