Life after Death
We are pressed on every side,
Having temptations to be tried;
While troubles seem to surround,
Causing confusion to confound.
We are not completely shut in,
Because we are drowning with sin;
And able to see a way out,
While not worrying shedding doubt.
As long as we are having hope,
Then we should be able to cope;
If we may be cruelly attacked,
By Satan trying to distract.
Having bodies forever marked,
Always targets where we embarked;
The mark of Jesus through each breath,
That is marking us with His death.
So inside of us death still lurks,
That does know each of our quirks;
And has the key that fits the door,
Opening for a tempting lure.
The only means to make a break,
Remembering God will not forsake;
Since Christ was on the cross and bled,
So we too come back from the dead.
