THE GRAND NATIONAL

THE GRAND NATIONAL

Irene`s gone to Aintree
To see the horses run,
She is so excited
I hope she has some fun.

Dressed in best finery
A Lady to behold,
Plus a hat upon her head
I hope she won`t get cold.

She`ll have a little flutter
It`s only once a year
And if her horse should win
She`ll give a big loud cheer.

When the race is over
And should her horse have won,
She`ll collect her winnings
To the bookies she will run.

At the post where Red Rum lies
She`ll stop and pause a while,
No other horse could touch him
He`d beat them by a mile.
