 Quiet Time
Life and it's hectic swirl has left me for a while,
Leaving me in a still pool beside this tiny isle.
I climb out on the bank and sit on a big rock,
Leaving me with my thoughts, without a time clock.
Peace slowly enters my mind as I sit here so still,
I don't have to think about anything, not even the mill.
Gentle warm sunbeams shine down on head;
Leaving me alone here with just my inner Fred.
Haunting my peace scampers is a thought of reality;
Yet I am drawn back deep into this calming neutrality.
I will leave when I desire to leave, and not a moment before;
I will return to life's storms, for I will not hide and ignore.
Prepared by the peace to of this island so sublime,
I return with the power for victory after my quiet time.
