It was a miraculous and glorious day for us
When on Calvary poured out the blood of Jesus
He could have called ten thousand angels that day
Yet He chose to suffer and die to wash our sins away
I don't know about you but I take it personally
The torment,the beating,the lashes put upon His body
All was done for the lover of my soul to set me free
Although I wasn't there I too am just as guilty
Even before I was born His love for me was shown
Yet it would be many years before this love to be known
I ask myself many times why and how it could've taken so long?
Why I didn't see the Cross sooner as love poured out so strong?
That Jesus suffered terribly to right all my wrongs
Perhaps it's the reason He now ministers to me in songs
If not for His blood my sins wouldn't now be gone
I would've died in darkness seperated from God and alone
But Glory be to God my sins have been forgiven
And some sweet day with Jesus for eternity i'll be living
I still wonder why His love many are refusing and forsaking
Salvation through Christ Jesus is a miracle in the making
Walking in God's love is truly life changing
Daily renewing my mind from the old way of thinking
For greater is He that now dwells in me
A new creation set apart from today's society
I can now see through spiritual eyes
The impact of the Cross where my Savior died
At the foot of the Cross is where I long to stay
Until my precious Jesus comes back for me someday
Oh precious lamb of God your praises I do sing
You are my Savior ,You are my everything
I'm so sorry that I too had a part in your suffering
My life is now yours as your praises I'll be singing
Hosanna, Hosanna, Hallelujah to my King
His blood poured out on Calvary for a sinner like me
I hear His desperate cry for all to be set free
For I'm a new creation that is hearing spiritually
Thank-you precious Jesus for dying for me
And through your resurrection I'm transformed daily
Saved by your grace and tender loving mercy
A gift I will cherish throughout my life story
Glory and honor and praises I sing
For He conquered the grave and has risen again
God's perfect sacrifice given once and for all
You need only turn to Him and on His name call
