For some fate seems to cheat
a little girl will never dance
A soldier that hurt in battle that has never known romance,
in the dark shadows. the demons hide
unknown battles in the night
Silent cries,
it takes a strong heart to a stay alive
it takes a strong will to survive.
and an old woman walking the street.
A child with nothing to eat.
They have what it takes to be alive
The strong will to survive<
You might mistake them for weak
when you see a tear on the cheek
When you look into the eyes
and think you see defeat.
You might be surprised

You see a man fall to his knees
You see a woman on the street\
You see a child ask\
what is peace?
And you see what the rich man's money buys,
Next time you meet
someone on the street
and you look them in the eyes
Remember they aren't weak

The mind sometime seems confused
That old man cheats the reaper.
and has paid the devil his dues.

Look deeper
The grim reaper will follow
