 My Heart is Broken

My heart is broken; it's torn in two
A young life is taken; the pain she went through
Young and so helpless, life she did trust
Sweet and defenseless; our hearts she did touch

Gone are the kisses; gone are the hugs
Sweet little princess; no longer to love
Now with her Jesus; now in His arms
No longer with us; but not from our hearts

When will this madness come to an end?
Filled with such sadness; our hearts need to mend
Father in heaven; help us to cope
We need a reason to gain back our hope

Where is the justice; can we forgive
This little princess no longer does live
We need your shoulders to lay our heads on
Father please hold her, now that she's gone
