~*~TWILIGHT TIME~*~
~*~TWILIGHT TIME~*~
~*~ ♥~*~
Every evening at twilight time,
I hear love calling from a tree,
A mating dove cooing for a mate,
He must be lonely just like me.
~*~ ♥~*~
I recognize his dire call,
To a mate wherever it may be,
He must know why I'm here,
Every evening under his tree.
~*~ ♥~*~
He understands my need for you,
As he sees me here every night,
Just before the sun goes down,
Waiting for you at twilight.
~*~ ♥~*~
Soon the moon will be rising,
In a sky of twinkling stars,
My friend has stopped cooing,
He heard an answer from afar.
~*~ ♥~*~
I sit alone at the lagoon's edge,
Listening for your call at the bend,
The sun begins to peek at dawn,
At twilight I'll be back again.
~*~ ♥~*~
