Bearing our Cross
What do we have to say,
If we go on in sin;
We continue to stray,
And corrupted within.
Should there be of more grace,
To forgive and forget;
Or other ways to base,
For us to pay the debt.
How may we who are dead,
Living in sin longer;
So we can grow instead,
Spiritually stronger.
Maybe you did not know,
That you can end the strife;
And bathe where waters flow,
Baptized in a new life.
Your sinful body died,
While being enticed;
But lives when you abide,
Within the Word of Christ.
In the same way we must,
Suffer in our loss;
And in Christ as we trust,
Bearing our own cross.
