There are no words left that I can say to you
yet still there is so much more… to say
but distortion of truth and long days far apart
has left me and you…. far away.
So far from the places we used to know
and the distance seems to grow more each day
I long for the words that once held you close…
as time takes you further away.
Regret and lost dreams are now all I have
and the words that I'll say you'll not hear
circumstance of life has left you far away…
while the days have turned months into years.
I fear that time says we'll not speak again
and all the words in my heart will just die
now you and my heart so very far away…
my words help only… to cry.
Most of my latest poems are inspired by the conflict
I have with my eldest daughter. I wish it was not so.
