The true definition of freedom
I used to think that freedom was something that you did
But then I heard that you stayed away and silently you hid
I used to think that freedom was something you could say
Until I saw the prisoners in Guatemala bay
I used to think that freedom was to choose your own religion
Not to build a wall in Jerusalem to cause a faith division
I used to think that freedom was to say no
Not to say yes just because they told you so
Now I know that freedom is just a misused word
Misspelt and misplaced in the dictionary under ‘absurd'
But then I heard that you stayed away and silently you hid
I used to think that freedom was something you could say
Until I saw the prisoners in Guatemala bay
I used to think that freedom was to choose your own religion
Not to build a wall in Jerusalem to cause a faith division
I used to think that freedom was to say no
Not to say yes just because they told you so
Now I know that freedom is just a misused word
Misspelt and misplaced in the dictionary under ‘absurd'
