TO KNOW THESE HANDS

Unknown the 2 carat blue topaz ring
With 24 rubies surrounding
The blue of Pisces and the sea
I wear it for Nautica
She's the mermaid in me
I wear it for your eyes
Looking across the blue seas
To the blue of my skies

Or on my right hand
The one I write with profusely
Where I wear a band of fire
With a white gold ring above
As a promise to myself of love

These long lady-like french nails
The bird-winged veins on my left hand
The way my little fingers have a
Slight curl at the last joint
A dominate-recessive trait from my momma

Will you hold these hands
To your face
Will you let these hands
Do grace

Will you watch them when music plays
Wrist rolls deer hands all your days
Will you ever find them dear
To know these hands here?
