 The Hands of Christ (Lyric)

Verse
I'm torn deep inside; my heart truly aches
A little girl has died; it's so hard to take
Where is the comfort for those left behind?
There's just one answer and that's Jesus Christ

Chorus
How do we forgive?
How do we find peace?
When we've lost all our trust
In humanity
Who do we turn to?
When life makes us cry
We must lay it all
In the hands of Christ
We must lay it all
In the hands of Christ

Verse
When young lives are taken; by hands that they trust
When children are murdered; by the people they love
It doesn't make sense; I can't comprehend
How someone so young can have their young life end

Chorus
How do we forgive?
How do we find peace?
When we've lost all our trust
In humanity
Who do we turn to?
When life makes us cry
We must lay it all
In the hands of Christ
We must lay it all
In the hands of Christ

Verse
Heavenly Father I'm down on my knees
Take all this hatred that's inside of me
I need to forgive because you forgave
Please pour out your love; please strengthen my faith

Chorus
How do we forgive?
How do we find peace?
When we've lost all our trust
In humanity
Who do we turn to?
When life makes us cry
We must lay it all
In the hands of Christ
We must lay it all
In the hands of Christ
