LOST AND FOUND

I SAW THE HOPLESS LOOK  IN THE EYES
OF A LITTLE DOG TODAY,
WHO'S ONLY CRIME WAS , HE HAD NO HOME,
NO FOOD  AND WARM PLACE TO STAY

HE WAGGED HIS TAIL AT EACH PASSERBY
HOPING SOMEONE WOULD SEE HIS NEED
BUT TIME AFTER TIME, THEY PASSED ON BY,
TOO BUSY TO PAY ANY HEED..

HE FINALLY LAID DOWN ON THE COLD GROUND
HIS HOPES WERE FADING FAST
WHEN A BOY AND HIS MOM SAW HIM SHIVERING THERE
AND GAVE HIM A HOME AT LAST.
