Harry Sweeden. My life in verse.

Neither one will win

Cry not for all that life forgot
nor paths that lead to sin
we are but one of every son
and neither one will win.
Cast from light then stripped of might
left naked on the floor
to cry in shame but lay all blame…
at someone else's door.
Called to war to fight and fall
honoured beneath a flag
lost friends weep of memories sweet
a stranger never has.
For all we do and all we choose
the path to walk so thin
the time to fall will show us all
neither one will win!
