Redeeming LoveI do not give a new law, Rather a law that is old; That will be stopping your flaw, For clinging on and to hold. This old law is of the Word, Which had come upon your ears; And that you have also heard, Over many of the years. But a new law that I give, Which is very true in Him; And also in you to live, So the light will not look dim. For the night is near its end, As true light is shining out; The source is not foe but friend, That sheds any of your doubt. He who truly has the love, Already is in the light; As blessings flow from above, In giving you the insight. But if you hate your brother, Then you still are in the dark; And no love for another, Anywhere that you embark. Richard Newton Sherrer Copyright ©2009 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
