The Happy State
Happy is he who will forgive,
For the peace in others to live;
Christ will do the same for the wrong,
So agony does not prolong.
Happy is who does trust in the Lord,
Worshipping honored and adored;
And in whose soul has no deceit,
They are spiritually complete.
When I was keeping my mouth shut,
My life was getting in a rut;
As my bones were wasting away,
With my crying all through the day.
The weight was on me day and night,
The burden made me fill with fright;
My flesh was dry as summer wind,
For all the wrong caused when I sinned.
So I put it all before God,
Everything that made me flawed;
Spilling my guts as it was flung,
With every breath from my lung.
So now I am a happy man.
And could not be happier than;
The songs of praises that I sing,
With all the blessings that they bring.
