Earth Day
This speck of dust made just for you
To have and reap, to see you through
Yes mother Earth formed by two hands
By GOD, Father to all of man
Fields of gold of rice and grain
Nourished by Him who brought the rain
The fowl of air and beast that roam
All this upon this rock home grown
Home, planet of oceans blue
Waters to quench both fish and you
Upon a globe that spins today
To bring forth both night and day
We should concede and intercede
For Mother Earth, for it too bleeds
Needing our help, to help conserve
A place, His gift so undeserved
Today God gives us as yesterday
A chance to lead and change our ways
To keep alive what some fail to
This place, planet, He colored blue
Earth Day.. More than just another day
