 Orange Soda
Full of God's sweet flavor from the orange trees;
Drinking from the can so cold, my brain does freeze.
It has been so long since I have tasted this delight;
Not wishing to think, I stayed away until tonight.
Drinking orange soda with my Dad while playing golf;
So sweet and full of sadness as well; my heart still soft.
His untimely death left me without his wisdom or love;
Orange soda brings back the memories from above.
That fear of thinking about Dad's loss was so wrong;
I am now comforted by his presence, he was here all along.
I drink a can of orange soda with joy, remembering his days;
Now guided by his presence, as he talks of God's ways.
