My heart now empty only shadows remaining
of the colour that once filled up my days
I have been bled and left for the vultures
now all I have left is to pray…
pray for redemption from all of my past sins
pray for release from my pain
pray for the day when the sunrise is golden
pray for any hope that remains.
Sometimes a rainbow appears here before me
but all of the colours are grey…
something has taken all that was precious
the colour now gone from each day.
So if I pray for redemption from all of my past sins
and pray for release from my pain…
will the colour come back to brighten my rainbow
or will only the shadows remain?
