 ramblings and things

Convention Recalled

They are up again and scrying
And they are travelling far
For once so much power
Means time isn't any bar

They are moving ever forwards
See masses of waving grain
Stretching beyond the eye
Over once buffalo filled plain
In the coastal ocean giants
Three armed serene white
Standing there unmoving
In the glaring midday light
Just the whining singing
Carrying through the windy air
As their massed limbs
Buzz and whistle and whir

Some forests are burning
Others feel another pain
Battered and bombarded
By ever harsher acid rain

They travel ever onward
Follow the spirit where it goes
Over shrinking fields of ice
Now calving to bergs and floes
They see the waters rising
See coasts changing shape
Hear the screaming of Earth
Reeling wounded from its rape
Then bodies call them back
As the mind meld loses .powers
And they return back from
Those coarse farseeing hours

They sit there in silence
Each nursing a shattered worth
As they contemplate the vision of
The future battered tortured Earth
