Inherited Promise of God
I know there is good in you,
Just by what you say and do;
Things that go with salvation,
Worth a standing ovation.
God would not put you away,
For the deeds you do each day;
And of the love for His name,
That you always do proclaim.
For all the help that you gave,
But the desires you crave;
That is still causing you pain,
And has left behind a stain.
I am wishing that you keep,
The Word of the Lord down deep;
In your heart to firmly root,
Choking the forbidden fruit.
Then never try to be slow,
Where God may tell you to go,
So you be an example,
As written in the Gospel.
God has truly made an oath,
If matured in righteous growth;
He gives an eternity,
For you with vitality.
