The Good Samaritan
There was a lonesome traveler
brought down by thieves alone,
he was left laying on the ground
without any care being shown.
People would walk right by him
and some would even stare,
nobody would stop and help
the beaten man that laid there.
He'd been robbed by thieves
and left on the ground to die,
finally a Samaritan stopped
to offer help to the poor guy.
He cared for the man's injuries
and gave him place to stay,
he gave the innkeeper money
to watch over the man that day.
The man was then cared for
until he was well enough to go,
it was the good Samaritan
that helped one he didn't know.
Jesus pointed out the good
when it comes to those that care,
He asks others to do the same
instead of leaving the beaten there.
You will inherit eternal life
in the kingdom of heaven above,
if you follow the commandments
and show thy neighbor love.
