The Secret to Life
I will not say anything,
As pertaining to my needs;
It is to the cross I cling,
That my requirement heeds.
For I am truly able,
To do whatever I can;
Knowing God will keep me stable,
And dependent on no man.
It would be the same to me,
If others tried to downcast;
Blue as low as I could be,
Knowing it would never last.
I have the secret of life,
Remaining in a good mood;
Capable coping with strife,
And how to go without food.
As well as how to have wealth,
Necessities all supplied;
Along with having good health,
With a judgment bona-fide.
I can do all things through God,
And Jesus gives me the strength;
So I honor and applaud,
To preserve at any length.
