SUNDAY MORNING

Sun sets soon
In the East
Here the moon
A werewolf beast

Has one up all night
Sun will rise
To white of light
In faint blue skies

Not breakfast
Cooked
Not undressed
Looked

Good for arising
Too far away
To seem surprising
To him today

So plant flowers
That will grow in sun
To remember the powers
Of only one

Stirring the Earth mother
Teaching the child
Ignoring the sea lover
Quieting the wild.
