 Blue's Image

Shaving this morning, I look into my brown eyes and see;
I see a sadness replacing the joy that there used to be.
The sadness is gentle, soft, quiet; whispering to my soul;
Looking back at me is a man half empty, no longer whole.

Events of my life are only challenges, they are not the reason;
It is my response to life's trials that motivate my internal season.
I'm looking deep into my brown eyes seeing my blue's image now;
Wondering within about the why's, how much will I eventually allow?

Yes, you heard me right, I believe I'm fully in control of my mood;
I can pick my self up if I'm through feeling sorry for myself, I conclude.
Seeing my dilemma, staring in the mirror into my sad brown eyes;
Now I smile, in control once again, my blue's image I instantly revise.
