Understanding Where We Come From!

When we think of where we come from,
The first thing we say, is our mother,
Our parents, that's who we come from,
For surely there is no other?

But if you think about it, really think,
Then you should be taken aback,
Into the days of Adam and Eve,
And of the faith and trust they lack!

For they lacked and lost faith in God,
When they took from that precious tree!
And so the sins of man reigned down,
Upon you're head, and upon me!

For they ARE our first parents,
And for their sins, we have many,
Carried on through all the ages,
Childbirth is one of many!

For God said that all we women…
Would all labour in so much pain,
And would suffer for the sins of Adam and Eve,
Until our sins would no longer reign!

And then God sent His Son down,
To die on the cross to forgive our sin,
So they punished, tortured and killed Him,
But be sure, they would never win!

For this was all prophesised,
That the Christ will come one day,
And take away all of our sins,
And wipe our hearts clean that day.

So Jesus was born in Bethlehem,
And so His journey began,
Sailed through His life, speaking parables,
As only the good Lord can!

And so our sins were forgiven,
When Jesus died just once, but for all;
So understanding where we come from,
Means that we need to believe and walk tall.

And never be ashamed of who you are,
For He is not ashamed of you or me!
So hold up that head, and tell the word to all,
Be as the Lord Jesus Christ wants us to be!

For understanding is to not fear anything,
But believing what we know is true,
That Adam and Eve is where we come from,
Yes, all of us, me, and you!
