The roads I travelled were empty the other day
That is because it was May Bank Holiday,
But that didn`t make a difference to me
I went to work `cause people depend on me.
I have to get people up, washed and dressed
Give them their breakfast then they need a rest,
When they are settled I go on my way
And do all my calls I have for the day.
It was great as I was driving around
A place to park I easily found,
No traffic queues to hold me up
I went on my way without a hiccup.
So thank you to those still tucked up in bed
It was me who had the last laugh instead,
I saw the sun rise and heard the birds sing
And a quiet time on the road their absence did bring.
