KNIGHT DREAMS
He walked his own way
through every day,
a modern knight
arrayed in jeans.
And dragons he slayed
with words he displayed,
gave up their fight
with mourning keen.
Romance in his heart
shot many a dart,
like Cupid's bow
through maidens fair.
His feelings impart
true love will not start
lest she will show
she deeply cares.
And now he has left
on a wandering quest,
to search for peace
he sorely needs.
On high mountain peaks
the future he seeks,
once more to sow
his verbal seeds.
