You're All Wet

I went into the city,
with three others,
to sell cologne on the street.
Unsuccessful days are par for the course.
We came back all with no sales.
A hot day, but we bought sodas.
Back to our manager, Lisa,
to tell her the news.
We want better luck next time,
or we will not achieve our own sales office.
The three of us love each other.
We dream no other bond between us than our own sales office.
Cologne sold on the street.
"You're all wet," Lisa said.
"We did not go near a pool," I replied.
"You're all wet," Lisa repeated.
Lisa was not happy with no sales.
Strapped into our ride we went.
With hope.
Round and round the machine took us.
Fun on the merry-go-round of no sales.
Going everywhere, succeeding nowhere.
Yet, I'm all wet.
How silly can you get?
We are enthusiastic.
There's no denying that.
The sales are in the fun house.
When we reach the fun house, we sell.
We're not all wet.
