Pride Driven
Unworthy is the sinner,
And whose mouth is full of lies;
A loser not a winner,
Since it is God he defies.
He talks as trouble is flung,
The words flowing through his lips;
Off from the tip of his tongue,
To another ear it grips.
He will make signs with his eyes,
And gives news with his fingers;
But motives are in disguise,
Lurking around like tigers.
His mind is ever scheming,
Letting loose violent acts;
The words said are blaspheming,
That is distorting the facts.
A false tongue and eyes of pride,
Hands that take lives without cause;
An evil heart plans inside,
For ways in breaking the Laws.
These are hated by the Lord,
And are disgusting to Him;
But if kept being ignored,
Their future looks mighty grim.
