 She is Legend
Where ever I go anymore, I listen to the soft murmur;
Of those working out even harder, trying to become firmer.
They know that if she is entered, she will be the one to beat;
The word of this woman athlete is now out on the street.
Her exploits are amazing local jocks, as they each wonder;
How great will she get? growing in confidence, now the thunder.
She is much faster than any lady around with her two feet;
But most guys also tremble, knowing they will also fall in defeat.
Quickly, she is legend now, a gentle source of pride for me;
For I knew her from before, now she has become the marquee.
I smile from deep within my soul whenever I hear of another win;
She is legend, created and maintained by her drive within.
Whether it is a triathlon, trail race, or taking it on the road;
She has quickly become the one to beat, this honor now bestowed.
Hard work, a tenacious spirit, and a double scoop of ability;
Bound together with the lightning in her feet, full of agility.
But her explosive climb to the peaks of local celebrity and fame
Is always countered with her sweet smile; yes, she remains the same.
I am proud to call her friend, to become inspired by her energy;
She is legend; created by her body, mind, and soul moving in synergy.
