OH
Father
What wonders
YOU reveal to those
who diligently seek YOU
what hidden treasures are
found in the most unusual places
YOU send unending pleasures
to all who desire to
know YOU
LORD
YOU are
more then our
eyes can see
more then our ears can hear
YOU supersede any Image
In our minds of what
knowing YOU could mean
We love YOU
and long to be loving vessels
so empty us of us
and fill our cups LORD
to overflowing
forgive our failures that we face daily
and give us the victory we so badly desire.
O to wake each day
free of self
to see YOUR reflection
upon rising
To let YOU have YOUR way
take hold of us dear LORD
so that we can bring YOU pleasure
We acknowledge our iniquities
are sins are ever before us
our awareness of our nothingness
apart from CHRIST
is forever etched in our thoughts
Lord help my friend Sandy today to lay down
wherever YOU tell her to.....
help her love the unlovely
to feed the hungry that bite her hand
to give a drink to the tongue that tortures her
and then LORD
open her eyes to behold the table that THOU
has prepared for her
in the presence of all her enemies.
Gently lead her today to new paths
sweeter and straighter
teach her wonderful truths
that open promises
that you have wrapped and waiting
Grant her understanding
of those who hurt
let her see beyond their thoughtless actions
may her insights be YOURS
concerning not only Billy and Tim but others
who need to be shown compassion
as she enters their sorrows
give her YOUR comfort so that
she might comfort them
and Lord for every grief
she must endure
may she find
knowing YOU
worth it all
may she joyfully
enter into YOUR sufferings.
IN JESUS NAME I PRAY AMEN!
