"her music to his ears"
knives dance before her mind
as he ties the silk blindfolds,
trembles with anticipation
then he is gone.
alone in silence
strains for sound
unforgiving, as he is.
she dare not move
for fear of the ropes reacting.
her hair catches on her wet mouth
smeared surrender.
he listens from outside
through an opened doorway.
just then, tears flow
a song of absence,
the ropes twitch and bind.
smiles
her music to his ears.
