TIME TO BE HAPPYIt's time to get happy To sing a happy song To look all around And take stock of All of your happy thoughts Son Max, a beautiful kid Twenty one, well ajusted Gave my whole life to him Had vanity tags for years That said "MAXSMOM". Husband for thirty six years Must have done something right He takes good care of me Provides me with a beautiful Home, and we've traveled The world together Hand in hand. Five wonderful sisters All younger than me. When I get in trouble There's always one there With me. Still got mama and daddy What a blessing that is. And as I look around my House, there is not one Luxury I desire. Expensive clothes in the closet Nice cars in the driveway And a little white mutt We call $900.00 worth of love. I think this must be counting your blessings Something I rarely do. The things that are important Have no price tag, so I'm thinking At the end of two months I might be in better health And a new book in my hands And hopefully the new one will be well on it's way. so if all of you reading this Will say a prayer for me. I'll get this licked and Be right back, and perhaps Be a better me. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
