It is as seemingly simple to think of you as it is for me to breathe,
For it is within this moment in time that I would currently like to seize.
To show respect for all the love that has been given unto thee through the years of life,
As a child, often one does not see inside a mother's internal strife.
For as a mother who pours her soul into every bit of who she is,
In truth there is her sacrifice for others throughout her life that one cannot bypass or even dismiss.
By being strong it has been made clear for me to finally see,
That all the struggles and all the joys were a part of a mother's love for me.
One knows only the word struggle, but does not know to what extent,
For it was only the best of intentions and which the end result that it was meant.
In life it is a mother that makes everything okay,
One to wipe all of tears away; even when one is frantic or in dismay.
Behold this woman of strength, courage and abundance of caring,
This woman could not be replaced for if so, I would not be the child that she is baring.
Having this woman in your life is the greatest gift the Lord could give unto thee,
This woman sees into ones future and instills what is now deep inside of me.
Surviving in a profound life as if everything was meant,
When looking into a mother's eyes it's as though you were heaven sent.
It is of a mother's love that it is so simple and be it so true,
This is the same for every person, be it for me as it is for you…
Seeing inside of thee beyond the youth of oneself,
I am blessed to call you my mother which by far is my greatest wealth.
