 Somewhere in Time
A romance that was lost somewhere in time;
Separated by only a moment, what a crime.
Looking into a space in front of my face;
You looking back, never able to embrace.
The gulf of time separates our life's planes;
I know you are there, but I'm bound in chains.
Unable to see you, yet I smell your perfume;
Yet we are unable to see each other in this room.
This gap in the time space continuum is so cruel;
But this is the law of nature, we can't break the rule.
I must be satisfied to sit in this living room chair;
For I know that somewhere in time, you are there.
Maybe some day, somewhere, our orbits will cross;
Or perhaps I can gain some strength and jump across.
No matter what the logic, no matter what the reason;
Somewhere in time a dream will flourish in it's season.
